Senior Database Architect
Project Summary:
Horizon Meds Manager™ (HMM) is a proven pharmacy information
management solution that captures details of medication used in both inpatient
and outpatient settings. It also links encounters in order to create a patient
medication profile across facilities. The solution meets the changing needs of
today's pharmacist by integrating with the physician order entry (POE) application.
This eliminates the need for any manual transcription and helps
the pharmacy to electronically receive, verify and send medication orders to
automated dispensing and administration applications thereby ensuring patient
safety. Medication Management of the patient is taken care in HMM by assurance
of patients' Five Rights (right patient, right medication, right time, right
route and right dose). HMM also allows pharmacists to maximize their
productivity and play a more active role in patient care.
Accomplishment(s):
Ø Conceived and architected a simplified installation and upgrade process of HMM product which replaced the existing, time consuming and resource heavy approach for all database upgrades. The new process resulted in upgrades to 300+ customers seamlessly compared to 1 or 2 customers per week. The comment received from one of our client was "even a 5th grader can perform HMM deployment now"..

database procedures into application tier. As an architect, identified the
enterprise level entities those can be used in common between HMM and
Enterprise database model. Handled and involved in the DBCC call log for HMM
and EDM (Enterprise Data Model) to necessitate the database changes.
